BEAR Day, standing for Breakthroughs in Engagement, Arts, and Research, is an annual opportunity for Mercer University's undergraduate students to present their research projects. I wanted the poster design to represent a concept instead of focusing on a specific discipline. This method ensures all majors and projects are represented in the poster. The typography used in this poster was created by slicing each letter into different shapes starting from the center, which created a glass-shattering effect. I then applied a gradient to each piece, giving each letter more dimension. I chose to use this glass-shatter symbolism to represent the breakthroughs in research that so many Mercer students achieved.
